Community Art Show


The Belleville Area Council for the Arts holds a free art show in August to recognize and encourage artists in the community. This non-juried art show is open to artwork of all kinds; categories are open to all artists over the age of five.

2nd Annual Community Art Show - 2011

The Belleville Area Council for the Arts presented the 2nd Annual Community Art Show, April 29 & 30, 2011 at St. Anthony's Parish in Belleville. Over 70 talented artists from all over Southeast Michigan and beyond exhibited more than 200 pieces including paintings, drawings and sculptures. Jason Ferguson and Brian Spolans, both professional artists and professors from Eastern Michigan University donated their talents to judge the competition and selected the following winners:

6-12 Age Group

Show-goers, with many traveling from far outside Belleville, expressed great appreciation for not only the exhibits, but the tasty tidbits from "Kay's Kitchen" as well. Representatives from BACA were very delighted with the participation and attendance and ensure that they intend to continue producing not only this Art Show, but many other events for the Tri-Community area
