The Belleville Area Council for the Arts (or BACA as we're fondly known) started on a front porch on Main Street with the idea that the Belleville area communities needed the cultural and educational activities that an Art Council could offer. With that first spark of enthusiasm, the Council has grown and flourished into a thriving organization offering diverse programs and events designed to promote and encourage the cultural life and art experiences of the Tri-Community area and beyond.
The Council is managed by a Board of Directors that is elected by the general membership. This Board, in turn, elects their Executive Officers. Several smaller sub-committees then work to produce our various programs and events throughout the year. The Belleville Area Council for the Arts is a registered 501(c) 3 organization and all donations are tax deductable.
